Crafty Momma

Up My Crafts began with a spark of creativity in a restless time. I’m a mommy to 4 kids and my youngest daughter was born right before Covid was declared a pandemic. Life has enough terror that I didn’t want my family to have those fears in their dreams. I started making dream catchers and developed a passion for them despite the difficulty of crafting with a baby in my arms and pre-teens in my ears. Every time I would prepare my projects, at least one of my kids would be up in my crafts. Either taking my pens, scissors, tape or just looking over my shoulder, my kids were always right behind or beside me so it made sense to just include them in my new venture. In the midst of trying to start up a small business, I stumbled upon epoxy and micas. Glitter has always been an obsession (even so that I passed it on to my girls) so putting anything shiny into my own designs was extremely satisfying. However, I didn't want to limit myself to just one skill so I took some time out to learn and practice with epoxy on different mediums including wood, paint, and vinyl.

Since then, I've been trying new techniques and new mediums. I have so many ideas and love to run them by my oldest kids but I would also love to hear my clients opinions as well. If you'd like to give me constructive criticism, I would surely appreciate it, but bear with me as I slowly improve on my quality in pictures and online presence. I feel secure enough in my abilities to finally start selling. Please remember though that these are hand made so perfection isn’t the goal, only as long as it’s perfect for you.
